Formed on January 1st 2009, the Green Mountain Crawlers Off-Road Club (GMCOR) is the newest 4x4 club in Vermont. Geared towards both the neophyte off-roader and the expert alike, the GMCOR strives to provide a safe, fun and educational community for 4x4 enthusiasts from across the state.

GMCOR is an organization that promotes off-highway vehicle oriented outdoor recreation for all off-roading enthusiasts. Bi-monthly trips of varying levels of length and difficulty are planned for all members. Our activities are geared towards education and community building and during the winter months when trails are typically closed down, you will find us working on public education, fund raisers and the like.

GMCOR’s events are all family friendly! We strongly encourage families to join the club and have found that the youngest off-roaders always seem to have the most fun!

Our trail events are drug and alcohol free!

The safety of club members and their vehicles are key factors in trip planning. The Green Mountain Crawlers do not advocate the stereo-typical "mud-running, beat your rig to death" type of trail ride. Our adventures are primarily located in Vermont on public Class IV roads, some privately owned trails and public legal trails.

GMCOR is working on building affiliations with off-road clubs in New Hampshire, New York and Massachusetts. We hope that because of these mutually supportive relationships, coordination of trail rides in other states and the hosting of rides in Vermont for these clubs will be a high priority. We strive to protect everyone's right to use public lands, not only for safe off-highway driving but also for hiking, horseback riding, camping, etc.
